Ing. Marie Tichá specializes in life cycle assessments (LCA). She gained her first experience with this method in 1993 at the University of North Carolina and the Research Triangle in the USA. She has prepared dozens of LCA studies, including methodological manuals for the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the private sector. Her expertise also includes EPD (environmental product declaration) and eco-efficiency assessment according to the ISO 14045 standard. She cooperates with a number of universities (CTU, CULS, UJEP) in solving research tasks focusing on LCA. She represents ÚNMZ in international ISO / TC 207 / SC 5 (LCA) negotiations. She teaches LCA at the J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem.
