Stanislav Slanina, PEFC ČR

Stanislav knew his life path from an early age – he wanted to become a forester. He turned that ambition into reality when he successfully graduated from the Faculty of Forestry in 2004. He continued to nurture his passion for the field through doctoral studies, during which he also studied at a university in Sweden. He gained hands-on experience in the forestry sector, working as both a forest ranger and a timber trader. Stanislav has been involved in forest certification for over 15 years, and as the Director of PEFC Czech Republic, he actively promotes responsible forest management. With his dedication and infectious enthusiasm, he convinces both professionals and the general public that sustainable forestry pays off—not only for forest owners but also for businesses and society as a whole.
