Petr Baudyš has been the head of the quality department at Penny Market since 2013. He has been working in the field for decades. He studied analytical and physical chemistry at the University of Pardubice. From the 1990s until 2001 he worked at the Czech Agricultural and Food Inspection Authority. For six years he was the Czech Republic’s representative on the International Food Labeling Commission and for twelve years he headed the commercial law department at the Tesco chain. He is currently in charge of quality processes throughout the Penny chain in the Czech Republic and while coordinating all sustainability projects. He comes from Hlinsko, and his hobbies are tennis, golf, skiing, reading and good wine.
