Pavel Hrdina is a Czech investor (originally financial) who entered the joint-stock company Bratři Zátkové as a shareholder in 2000 through the newly established company Europasta B.V. He has been responsible for the company’s strategic management since 2003 in his position of chairman of the board of directors of Europasta SE. Until 2020, he also served as the company’s CEO. In 2021, he was appointed president of the Union of the Organizations of Manufacturers of Pasta Products in the E.U. (UN. A. F. P. A.). He is a big supporter of automation in manufacturing and packaging processes. Europasta’s main investment plans include packaging innovation in the range of pasta and flour as well as the overall optimization of production and logistics with an emphasis on continuous improvement of product quality, safety and further development of digitization. The company is investing in a new automatic packaging section at the Litovel plant and is planning to expand its storage and shipping facilities in Boršov nad Vltavou.
