Pavel Coufal, Hügli Food

Pavel Coufal was born in 1971 in Sokolov. Since childhood, he was obsessed with the desire to take things apart and put them back together again, eager to learn how things and the world work. He graduated from secondary school with a focus on control and regulation technology. Immediately after completing his studies, he received an offer to work at the then East Bohemian woodworks (today’s Stora Enso) as an electrician. There he had the opportunity to experience real industrial automation, including programming Siemens and Allen‑Bradley control systems. He remained in the woodworking industry for a full 10 years. His professional path took him to the Jihlava roasting and packing plant of Tchibo Praha, where he worked as the head of the technical department. In addition to taking care of the technology, he also took care of the team which he led. In 2006 he joined Hügli Food, where he took responsibility for production, logistics, technical department and quality department. Since 2019, he has been working as the company’s legal executive.
