Jaroslav Vodáček is a graduate of the Institute of Chemical Technology, where he studied in a field focused on technical environmental protection. During his studies, he started working as a trainee in the technical department for a leading company in waste management, AVE CZ. As part of the trainee program, he gained experience with its Austrian subsidiary. Subsequently, he worked at AVE CZ as a project manager in the technical department. In his professional career, he subsequently headed the purchasing department in a wholesale store dedicated to the sale of technical plastics and materials for the production of advertising. He has been with Tesco since January 2021, previously working for almost 5 years as a senior consultant in the consulting division at EY. At EY, he was in charge of sustainability and environmental projects, meeting topics such as packaging, waste, circular economics and water management. At Tesco, he leads the team responsible for the packaging agenda. The goal of the team is to find the most suitable compromise between the individual functions of the packaging and to bring to the fore the environmental requirements for the packaging.
