In addition, it was a great opportunity to meet colleagues from the industry.”
“I primarily attended the morning session. All the presentations, including the panel discussion, were interesting and useful. For me personally, the most attractive presentation was by Ipsos – it offered interesting and valuable insights into how customers perceive potential packaging changes and what they expect from packaging. This information is, of course, important for us as manufacturers of the final product (users of packaging materials) when considering possible changes.
In the other presentations, there was not much that was new for me personally, as we deal quite intensively with PPWR and its impacts internally. Nevertheless, it was still useful to hear additional perspectives and gain inspiration for further steps. As with any such event, another benefit is the opportunity to meet, talk with, and potentially be inspired by other people from the industry. Overall, the event met my expectations and I left satisfied.”
“We evaluate this year’s edition of the Obalko Congress very positively as well. On the one hand, the overall atmosphere of the congress is very friendly thanks to excellent organization and venue selection, and on the other hand, the congress is beneficial for us as users and commissioners of packaging solutions thanks to the interesting program.
From the morning program, we appreciated the presentations related to upcoming measures resulting from European Union regulations, including timelines. It was also interesting to hear reactions from various manufacturers and packaging users regarding how they are preparing for these upcoming changes. Once again, we applauded the excellent presentation by Miroslav Paška from Ipsos, both in terms of content and presentation style.
We registered for two workshops: one by Thimm on the practical use of digital technologies and one by Greiner on plastic packaging. Both workshops broadened our horizons and helped us better understand what we can expect from packaging in the future.”
“Obalko is—as every year—a very pleasant event. Not only because of its interesting and up-to-date content and program, but also thanks to the nice environment and excellent catering, which together create a perfectly organized whole, including parking. I always enjoy attending.”
“The Obalko Congress was very interesting and, from the perspective of information on packaging materials, definitely beneficial. Many inspiring ideas and new developments were presented, showing how the packaging market is moving toward sustainability and efficiency. The workshops were also very valuable, offering space for deeper discussion—it is just a pity that only a smaller portion of participants could attend them. They certainly deserve a place in the program for everyone.”
“I attended the Obalko Congress for the first time this year, mainly because of the morning program. The topic of PPWR currently resonates strongly in the area of regulation and compliance. Therefore, any new perspective on packaging legislation—whether from authorities, packaging professionals, or manufacturers—is a welcome enrichment for me.
I also evaluate very positively the Ipsos agency’s presentation on how consumers perceive legislative changes. For the ‘lay’ public, it can be difficult to navigate the amount of mandatory information on packaging and legislative changes, which is something we may not always immediately realize in our regulatory profession. I therefore consider it beneficial to occasionally reflect on how all these changes and requirements are perceived by end consumers, how to explain them more easily, and possibly educate them on topics of interest to them.”
“I attended the congress mainly to broaden my overview of packaging legislation, establish new contacts, and meet colleagues from the industry in person. Everything was achieved excellently. I appreciate the Bizpack meetings and their organization, and a thumbs-up as well for the presentation by Hopi Popi.”
“For me, this year’s Obalko was very interesting and beneficial, especially in terms of the upcoming changes related to PPWR. I particularly appreciate the expert information and the discussion among specialists and industry professionals on this topic. The sequence of presentations was well chosen, moving from general to more specific topics, and I believe it provided many participants with valuable information they did not previously have or clarified certain aspects that had been unclear.
Although this time the event was not conducted entirely in an optimistic spirit of new packaging and logistics solutions, from a professional standpoint I dare say that it noticeably raised the bar compared to previous years.”
We look forward to seeing you at the next edition of the OBALKO congress (the 13th), which will be held on October 15–16, 2026. Please save the date of the new edition in your calendar.
